Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how CDXStreamer works, what you can upload, and how pricing flows.
What tools does CDXStreamer offer?
Bulk file tools: address verification with USPS validation and ZIP+4, worldwide geocoding, driving distance and travel time, a straight-line distance calculator, demographics by ZIP / postal code (US Census/ACS + Canadian StatsCan), Zip Code Radius, ZIP / Postal Lookup, and FindZip (city → ZIP). Plus free, instant Quick Lookups for single values. New tools and add-ons are added regularly.
Are there free tools I can use without signing up?
Yes. Our Quick Lookups are free and instant — no account or upload. Look up a single ZIP / postal code, find nearby codes within a radius, measure the distance between two codes, get demographics for one code, reverse geocode a latitude/longitude, or list every ZIP in a city. There's a generous daily limit per visitor; create a free account for a higher limit, or use the bulk file tools for large lists.
Do you support Canada?
Yes. Canadian postal codes work across demographics (StatsCan Census data), ZIP / Postal Lookup, Zip Code Radius, Distance, and Reverse Geocode — and you can mix US ZIP codes and Canadian postal codes in the same file. (FindZip city → ZIP is United States only.)
What file formats can I upload?
CSV, TSV, Excel (.xlsx/.xls), and OpenDocument (.ods). AI column detection figures out which column is which even when headers are messy or missing — and it zero-pads Excel-truncated ZIP codes (e.g. 7869 → 07869) — so you don't need to reformat your file before uploading.
Do I need an account or subscription to try it?
No. Quick Lookups are free with no account. For the bulk file tools you can run small jobs as a guest and pay per row, with no commitment. When you're ready for volume, buy a credit pack with no expiry or pick a subscription for the lowest per-credit cost.
How does CDXStreamer pricing work?
Three options for the bulk tools: pay-per-row with no commitment, credit packs at a bulk discount, or subscriptions with the lowest per-credit cost. A live preview always shows the exact price before you run anything, so there are no surprise charges. The Quick Lookups are free.
What output formats do I get?
CSV, multi-tab Excel with charts, branded PDF reports, and an interactive in-browser report. Tools with coordinates also plot your results on an interactive map.
Where does the data come from?
US demographics come from the US Census Bureau and American Community Survey; Canadian demographics from the StatsCan Census Profile. ZIP / postal, city, county, and coordinate lookups are answered from our own local geo database (no third-party call), which is why the Quick Lookups are instant and free. Geocoding and driving distance use the HERE and Google APIs; address verification uses USPS-grade validation.
